After the much acclaimed success of his previous forays into the world of cinema, Chetan Bhagat is out to thrill audiences with another movie through the adaptation of his book “Revolution 2020″. The movie will be produced by UTV Disney, and will be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
The movie, which is based on the popular book, is a story about three freinds, and their journey told through events in their life dealing with education, love and corruption. Much like the book, the movie too intends to capture the pulse of the nations youth and tell their point of view on different topics that are more relevant to India today than to younger generations.
After the successfull collaboration of Kai Po Che, Chetan Bhagat is back with UTV Disney to make this new movie. Raj Kumar Gupta agreed to direct the movie soon after he completed reading the book, saying that it was a simple storyline and yet very powerful, something he felt a lot of audiences can relate with.
Siddharth Roy Kapur, MD of UTV Disney too spoke of the book, and expressed his excitement in bringing together two talents in the form of Raj Kumar and Chetan Bhagat. Even before the launch of the book, UTV had started negotiating a deal with Chetan Bhagat for making a movie along the same storyline.
