What might make Kareena Kapoor Khan insecure?

Looks like bebo is starting to feel a bit insecure. Read on to find out why…

Kareena Kapoor Khan might be starting to feel insecure. But why? Is it because her hubby Saif Ali Khan is having an extra marital affair? Now, before you jump to any conclusions, let us tell you that the Nawab is definitely not having an extra marital affair. So why would bebo feel insecure?

Well, the story goes something like this. We all know that Indian fans are known for their crazy gimmicks they play, just for a glimpse of their favourite star. From dressing like them to talking in their lingo, they try to ape their Bollywood Idol to the T.

What we hear in the most recent cases is that ladies dressed up to gym, just for a glimpse of their favourite star Saif Ali Khan while he was shooting in Lucknow for his upcoming film Bullett Raja. You’ve heard us right, a gym full of dressed up ladies, just to see the fitness freak Saif Ali Khan work out.

“Saif had a daily routine even when he was shooting in Lucknow, and it consisted of gymming everyday for 2 hours. Once the localities came to know about this, they went all crazy. Everyday a huge bunch of ladies used to come dressed up to see Saif Ali Khan work out, and click pictures with him. We even hear that the membership of ladies increased in the gym, only because they wanted to gym with their favourite actor,” says a source from the production team.

Now, you know why Mrs. Khan might feel insecure.

Evelyn Sharma files complaint with Cyber Crime Cell in Lucknow

The people of Lucknow are known for their tehzeeb (etiquettes). But the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor’s experience with a locally run website from the city, has been quite different

Following constant harassment through falsities in articles on a website called bollygupshup.org, Evelyn Sharma has filed a complaint with Mr Dinesh Yadav, nodal officer, and head of Cyber Crime Cell of Lucknow Police, Uttar Pradesh.

The said website had put up various articles on the leggy lass within a span of a week, attacking her with false statements. Not only that, they incorrectly claimed that Sharma has undergone plastic surgery, was part of a film titled Joker , as well as put up false age, on the pretext of picking content from Wikipedia and IMDB, without verification.

Moreover, the website often tagged the babe on her Twitter account in the web links of these articles containing the fabricated information, in an apparent attempt to intimidate the actor on social media.

Requests for corrections by the actor’s publicist were ignored by the website, after which he filed a complaint with the cyber cops on behalf of the actor.

Since Evelyn is residing in Mumbai, the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) in Mumbai has also been informed. The complaints may be followed up with legal action for defamation.

Has Sonam Kapoor gone too far off track this time?

The Raanjhanaa babe is always fashion forward; she chose to wear a lehenga saree to make a stylish appearance on a popular chat show recently. But one look at this outfit and you wonder what in heck she was thinking when she got dressed….

Sonam Kapoor’s sartorial sense is often too eclectic for an ordinary person to understand. The 28-year-old is known to be ahead of pack where trends are concerned and she is known for setting benchmarks in Bollywood when it comes styling her look oh-so-perfectly. But this time around, in her zest to be dramatically different Sonam forgot to take a good look at herself in the mirror before appearing on Anupama Chopra’s popular chat show The Front Row.

Sonam chose a designer garment – we are really not sure what we should call the composite outfit – by Payal Singhal that makes her look like a clown who got her geometry and aesthetic senses absolutely mixed up.

The heavily ornate one-sleeved blouse worn with a blush mull kalidar lehenga saree makes Sonam like a desperate babe who is trying to be hatke. She looks decidedly eccentric rather than fabulously fashion forward and gave us a generous dose of the giggles. The broad dark border and the dull colour of the saree makes the style diva look like a stylish nurse transported to a red carpet event making a furious effort to be chic!

Sonam darling, you don’t really let us down with your wardrobe, because we like the shock value of your choices, no matter what they are. But this time around you made our discerning eyeballs bulge for all the wrong reasons!

Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Bombay Velvet to hit the screens on Christmas 2014

With the filming of Anurag Kashyap’s much awaited Mumbai trilogy beginning in July, the producers are looking at a Christmas release

Anurag Kashyap has been living with Bombay Velvet for several years now. And finally, after years of struggle and tasting success both in India and abroad, Kashyap will get to indulge in his fantasy in the next few months when Bombay Velvet goes on floors this July.

Interestingly, Bombay Velvet is first in a trilogy of movies based on Mumbai and will track the rise of the city as a metropolis, with jazz music being the backdrop. “Bombay Velvet is my first film in a trilogy about Bombay, before it became a Metropolis. It’s a story that has always fascinated me and we have been developing it for about four years, and I am very excited that now its fully ready and we begin shoot this year,” said Anurag, thrilled at the daunting prospect of making the three films.

In fact, Anushka Sharma, who stars in BV alongside Ranbir Kapoor, has already started the dress and look rehearsals for her role in the film. Ranbir meanwhile will start work soon after he gets done with Anurag’s brother Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam. The first schedule of the film is supposed to be an outdoor one in Sri Lanka.

Bombay Velvet is Anurag’s most ambitious and expensive project till date, with massive effort being put into recreating Mumbai of the sixties. And since music is an integral part of the film, music director Amit Trivedi of Dev D fame has been roped in by Anurag to create the perfect sounds for the film. While Fox Star Studios is partnering with Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films to produce the flick.

Watch this space for more dope on Kashyap’s most ambitious project till date.

IPL 2013 spot-fixing: Sreesanth’s story to be part of Malayalam film Cricket

The latest controversy to rock cricket’s Indian Premier League, involving Rajasthan Royals player Sreesanth, will soon be turned into a movie down South

Disgraced cricketer Sreesanth is going to be the subject of a film titled Cricket, to be made by Malayalam filmmaker duo Shaji Kailas and AK Sajan. The two have already begun preliminary work on the movie, which will be written by Sajan and directed by Shaji who made Eklavyan and Mafia before.

We hear the story of Cricket will be loosely based on Sreesanth , now in police custody for abetting spot-fixing in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013. Sreesanth was arrested along with fellow players Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila in the scandal. The three cricketers belong to Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s IPL team Rajasthan Royals.

The film will be about the rise and fall of a young cricketer from Kerala. Apparently, it will trace his rise from school cricket to national fame, after which he falls prey to greed and unchecked desire.

The movie will also explore the nexus between cricket and the underworld and throw light on the seamier side of the game. But the core of the story will show how someone who could have been a great role model throws it all away. “We want it to send out a strong message,” the makers have said.

Aurangzeb box office report: The Arjun Kapoor starrer earns Rs 12.18 crores in the opening weekend

Some trade reports suggest that the Atul Sabharwal directed action flick didn’t show any major growth over the weekend, while some say the film has performed reasonably well at the ticket counters

On the opening day of Aurangzeb, Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Aurangzeb has had a lukewarm start. The general feeling was that the film would open fairly well since Arjun Kapoor’s debut film Ishaqzaade was a success and Yash Raj had promoted Aurangzeb well, with the film making a splash after its first promo was launched. Aurangzeb will now have to depend on weekend business to consolidate its position, besides performing well on weekdays too.” And just a few hours ago, he tweeted, “Aurangzeb is below par. Started on a sluggish note and didn’t show any major growth over the weekend. The film is slightly better in Delhi-UP circuit.”

When we checked the box office standing of the Arjun Kapoor-Rishi Kapoor-Prithviraj starrer with the leading exhibitor-distributor, Akshaye Rathi, he was quick to share his view and the film’s BO collections. “Aurangzeb is a classic ‘80s style drama that has had a fairly wide release pan India. For a film that features a one-film-old hero – Arjun Kapoor in the lead, the numbers are fairly good, but if we measure it against the (rather impressive) scale of his debut Ishaqzaade, it could be perceived as a bit of a downer.”

He further adds, “Giving Arjun the benefit of doubt, his performance (as well as those of others) was superb and he is well on his way to becoming ‘the man among the boys’ from his generation of stars who will carry the baton of ‘on-screen machoism’ that Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt etc have been a part of in the previous generation!”

Here’s the weekend breakup – Friday Rs 3.92 crores, Saturday Rs 3.91 crores and Sunday Rs 4.35 crores. Will Aurangzeb be declared a bonafide hit all over in the coming days? Watch this space for more box office updates!
