One of the most awaited films of 2013 Ram Leela, whose trailer is making waves in the country, has excellent, sizzling onscreen chemistry between the film’s lead couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Ranveer and Deepika, who are rumored to be in a relationship, play the roles of Ram and Leela in this adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Amitabh Bachchan said on a social networking site, “Saw trailer of Ramleela…stunning! The colours, the passion, the Deepika…!!”
Farah Khan said, “The trailer is fabulous. Deepika looks fantastic; the chemistry between her and Ranveer looks good. The film seems to bring back the memories of Sanjay’s previous films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas. It looks very happy and colourful.”
Meanwhile, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director of the movie is extremely happy with the response the film is getting. “The film is extremely close to my heart and for its first glance to be received this warmly, is overwhelming,” he says.
The movie, which releases on November 15th, is set in present day Gujarat. It is the story of two lovers in turbulent times. “We are ecstatic with the unanimous, positive reviews and we couldn’t be more excited with the reception,” concludes producer Sunil Lulla.
