OMG! Political party goons beat up Kishwer Merchantt’s boyfriend Suyyash Rai

It is indeed unfortunate to see political party members taking law in their hands and behaving like roadside goons

Yesterday at JVLR road Suyyash Rai of Splitsvilla and Pyaar Kii Yeh Kahaanii fame was beat up on the road by goons claiming to be a part of a leading political party. We caught up with Kishwer Merchantt, his girlfriend to know more about what really happened.

“Suyyash was driving on JVLR when suddenly car cut his car and he went and banged into a BEST bus. Obviously when something like that happens you tend to react. Suyyash cut their car and went ahead of them. They came on the left and started abusing him, and Suyyash kept asking why they were abusing him. One car blocked him from front and the other one stopped on his left. Since the divider was on the right, Suyyash was blocked from all sides. They came out with rods and sticks and threatened to him and ordered him to come out. Suyyash had his expensive camera and phone in the car, so he asked them to move so he could come out. Even before he could shut the door, they started beating him up, slapped so many times, and kicked him in the stomach. They threatened him using their political party connections. When they took the name of the party, we didn’t even know who they were,” said Kishwer.

So have you filed a police complaint yet? “Yes, luckily Suyyash had noted down their car number. We immediately went to the cops and filed a police complaint. So far there is no update on it as yet, but we are waiting for them to take some action,” replied Kishwer.

Suyyash spoke to another popular website and claimed that about 15-20 men hand ganged up against him to hit him. There were a lot of people who were watching the incident but no one came forward to help except one man. Suyyash filed in FIR in the Meghwadi police station near Jogeshwari. Let’s hope the actor gets some justice.
