Award ceremonies are coveted gatherings. Some win laurels, some win acclaim while others rue and go red. But apart from all give and take, it is the hosts that make these otherwise mundane events, pretty interesting, Filmfare Awards had hosts honouring everyone in the industry until Shah Rukh and Saif Ali Khan went nasty on them. That legacy has been followed by everyone in their own way and every year, we see a new anchor jodi keeping the excitement going. This year, International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) will bring the naughty duo of Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor as the hosts and so, here are some of the points they can prepare their gags on.

Knock up
Arjun and Ranveer’s friendship is stuff made in films. It reminds you of Sholay, Dosti and others. Such is there camaraderie that both were roasted at the All India Bakchod’s fest but unfortunately, they were the ones who were left with singe marks at the end. IIFA can be the right platform for them to vent out for the first time in public. Who wouldn’t want to know what forced them to be part of such crassness?

My girlfriend’s choice
Ranveer and Deepika Padukone might not have yelled from the rooftops about their relationship but it isn’t a secret anymore that they are together. Recently, Deepika came out with a Vogue Empower video on My Choice advocating women’s right to behave like men, basically. The whole industry and the nation were divided on it. Some called it too classy for anyone’s liking and borderline hypocrite, others raved about it. Ranveer, obviously favouring it, can take a dig at every actress who didn’t support Deeps, like Kangana Ranaut and Sonakshi Sinha. Arjun on his part can support his ‘Bhabhi’.

Net neutrality
The fear of paying up for every app one uses is palpable. As if India didn’t already have enough discrimination on the basis of caste creed and others, TRAI wants to introduce one more and that too on a medium that has become the guiding light for a whole generation. Stars like Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor would be affected too because their followers will dwindle and they won’t be able to use internet to promote their life and love. They can poke fun at what such a rule would do to the Twitter addicts of Bolly land. That will be one laugh riot!

Anushka se Virat tak
Ranveer and Arjun is known for their straight faced humour. They can be cheeky without being cheap. The whole chaos regarding Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s love adventures would make for a great topic for them to mock at. Now, they can take a leeway on whether or not to support them. It would be interesting to see how Ranveer takes on Anushka who he rumoured to have dated once. Going nasty with your ex comes easy. Don’t you agree?
