Wait, what did you just read? Read on for more…
Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Iron Man in the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Age of Ultron. Talking about the main villain of the film Ultron, Robert said that he absolutely adored the guy! Well, he wasn’t talking about the character but the actor who is the voice behind Ultron. The new Avengers movie’s baddest guy, Ultron is voiced by the Boston Legal actor James Spader.
According to Downey Jr., Spader will bring ‘psychotic wit’ to the table with his portrayal of Ultron. The “I have no strings on me” bit from the movie’s trailers is enough to convince us that Robert is right! Talking further about Spader playing the bad guy, Robert says, “I’ve never met a man who is more suited to cinema. I just adore him. He’s going to bring a psychotic wit and some real levity and unpredictability.”
Not just Iron Man, even the film’s director Joss Whedon is throughly impressed by Spader’s menacing performance. About that Whedon said, “He has that voice, that very terrifying ‘I own everything’ maleficent evil voice and then suddenly get very peevish about something. He can go from very intense to very comedic, and get there on a dime beautifully.”
The makers of Avengers: Age of Ultron are also vouching for Ultron being the most evil villain we have seen on the big screen in a long time! The Marvel movie releases on 24th April in India.
