Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for Maneesh Sharma’s Fan which is expected to release in September this year. And that’s the reason why Gauri Khan’s hubby has been globe-trotting for the past few weeks. But apart from Fan, SRK has two more films on his plate – Rahul Dholakia’s Raees and Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale. Though Dholakia announced his film almost two years back, it hasn’t gone on floors till now. However, that’s going to change pretty soon because Shah Rukh will start shooting for Raees in 10 days. Yes, the Happy New Year actor will finally begin filming for Rahul’s film which was supposed to roll by March-end.
But how am I so sure about this information? Well, just a while back Shah Rukh had a little Q&A session with his fans on the popular social networking site Twitter. And that’s where he gave out this piece of news. One of his fans named Reema Dsouza tweeted, “@iamsrk Really looking forward to Raees. When will you start shooting for it? #AskSRK.” To this the Fan actor replied, “@Reema_dsouza123 in about 10 days Insha Allah.”
Now that’s good news for all of us, right? After all, King Khan will be seen sharing screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the first time. And when two good actors come together, its always a cinematic experience. Not to forget, we’ll also get to see Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the film alongside SRK and Nawaz. While it is being said that Raees will release during Eid next year, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the same.
