Sonakshi Sinha’s next with AR Murugadoss titled Akira

The Holiday director is back with yet another remake with Sona in the lead

We had reported earlier how Sonakshi Sinha seems to have become filmmaker AR Murugadoss’ favourite, as the Ghajini director is making a women oriented action film with Sona in the lead. The Tevar actress has finally started shooting for Murugadoss’s flick. The movie, titled Akira, is the remake of Tamil film Mounaguru . While in the original, the protagonist was a guy, the director seems to have made subtle changes in the script to portray Sonakshi as the lead.

Sona , who is quite a social butterfly, highly active on Instagram, did not miss the opportunity to post a pic from the sets of Akira. Also, the Dabangg actress took to micro-blogging site Twitter, and shared: “My first day of shoot today for @ARMurugadoss sirs film! Cant wait to be in front of the camera!! Super charged up…Wish me luck.”

Her father Shatrughan Sinha and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap are rumoured to be playing important characters in the film. Sonakshi’s last two outings at box office – Action Jackson and Tevar bombed at box office. Can Murugadoss’ Akira get Sona back in the game? Lets wait and watch!
