A lot has happened since yesterday. We have been treated to a teaser from Soorjit Sircar’s Piku, the official trailer of Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar Is Back and the first look of Tanu Weds Manu Returns. 2015 will definitely be an interesting year and we’re very excited about all the awesomeness that is coming our way, thanks to Bollywood.
If you’ve missed any (or all) of the latest lovely developments, we’re here to fill you in.
Piku Teaser
The teaser of Piku is, well, quite a tease. Nothing has really been revealed except that Deepika Padukone is Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter. The father has a heavy Bengali accent and is arguing with Deepika. Irrfan Khan comes in for a few seconds and seems to be exasperated. Deepika likes the trailer of the film but Amitabh is upset because he doesn’t want the world to know his family’s story. He walks away with a final “naansense!”.
From Amitabh’s accent and demeanour to Deepika’s cuteness and Irrfan’s awkwardness, we love it all. The first official trailer of Piku will be released tomorrow (March 25) and we can hardly wait!
Gabbar Is Back Trailer
After super interesting teasers, the official trailer of Gabbar Is Back is out and we’re hooked. As soon as we hear “kaam se hero, naam se villain”, we know that we’re in for a treat, and then there’s a close-up of Akshay’s new look. Gabbar here has a problem with corruption and throughout the trailer we are treated to one iconic Sholay dialogue after another. Then there’s the pretty Shruti Hassan who seems to be the perfect companion to a rowdy Gabbar.
We’re going gaga over the trailer, Akshay’s look, the dialogues, the music, and just about everything! We’re now looking forward to a May release and counting the days.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns Poster
It was Kangana Ranaut’s birthday yesterday and as a special gesture to the birthday girl, Aanand L Rai released the first poster of her upcoming rom-com Tanu Weds Manu Returns, a sequel to Tanu Weds Manu. Kangana’s birthday and we are ones who get a present… how perfect! The poster is just as cute as that of the prequel and here we see two Kanganas, one is the quintessential desi girl and the other looks like a tomboy. Madhavan looks the same. Will he be getting trouble from the boy-ish Kangana this time? We can’t wait to find out.
Two quirky Kanganas, a very sweet and evidently confused Madhavan and a cameo by Dhanush (yes, that’s happening), do we really need to elaborate on why we’re loving Tanu Weds Manu Returns? And may we please point out how beautiful the Queen star is looking as a desi bride? Such a pretty poster!
