The Maan Karate star would be playing a cop for first time in the film
On February 27, Sivakarthikeyan’s Kakki Sattai is all set to release and expectations are indeed high. This is the actor’s first Tamil release in 2015 and it will set the ball rolling for the rest of his films this year. Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Productions, the movie directed by R Mathimaran is said to be good as it has music by Anirudh as well.
An industry source says, “Sivakarthikeyan had a pretty good 2013 but only one release in 2014 – Maan Karate. This film will determine how much he’s a crowd-puller and if he can retain his market in Tamil cinema.” The actor has a lot of fans across Singapore and Malaysia. Though Sivakarthikeyan is considered a bankable actor by producers, how Kakki Sattai does at the box office is important for future films. Kakki Sattai was supposed to release in 2014 but for some reason got pushed to 2015. The only other film he has for release this year is Rajini Murugan.
