Nearly 26 couples from tellyland tied the knot this year of which many have been love and few have been arranged marriages
BollywoodLife walks down memory lane and lists down the weddings of 2014 with pictures and their love story in short.
Jay Soni and Pooja Shah: It was an arranged marriage for the couple aligned by their parents. However, Jay soon fell in love with his gal and was gaga over her. However, Jay stalled his honeymoon for his other commitments only to go on an extended holiday later in the year.
Kratika Sengar and Nikitin Dheer: Nikitin’s father Pankaj Dheer was working with Kratika in his film My Father Godfather where he first met his daughter-in-law and found her perfect for his son. The couple had a lavish wedding attended by all the ex-Khatron Ke Khiladi contestants of season 5.
Mark Parakh and Kennie Kukreja: The actor who is currently seen in Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh as Apurva Agnihotri’s close friend had both a Punjabi wedding in a Gurudwara and a Parsi wedding followed by a small reception for family and friends.
Ruslaan Mumtaz and Nirali Mehta: The actor debuted in television with his show Jee Le Zara, which went on air mid 2013. Towards the end of the show, the actor declared his impeding nuptials which coincided with his wedding onscreen.
Akanksha Singh and Kunal Sain: The Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha girl tied the knot to her family friend and long time boyfriend. The ceremony was a quiet affair with very few and select friends from the industry.
Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin Verma: It was a hush hush wedding for Rupali Ganguly with her businessman beau. Rumour has it that the actress was already pregnant when she tied the knot.
Deepika Singh and Rohit Raj Goyal: The duo met on the sets of Diya Aur Baati Hum. The actor and director jodi was quite popular. In fact, Rohit even worked on his wedding day as he did not wish to keep his actors waiting. We’ve heard that the director quit the show post his wedding in order to avoid conflicts.
Rakshanda Khan and Sachin Tyagi: This was Sachin’s second wedding. The couple initially denied being in a relationship for the longest time until they tied the knot. However, we still had a clue about their relationship.
Shaleen Malhotra and Diksha Rampal: The actor and jewellery designer had a grand wedding in Gurgaon. Shaleen invited the cast and crew of Roadies, the first show that put him on the map.
Shefali Sharma and Varun Sethi: Colors’ popular show Bani – Ishq Da Kalma actress tied the knot but didn’t tell the world. Her beau was the creative head of her show on Colors. The actor kept denying the news to the media until they tied the knot.
Purbi Joshi and Valentino Fehlmenn: The popular comedienne met her better half while scavenging for an apartment. The duo recently tied the knot and invited all her co-stars and friends from Comedy Circus.
Gaurav Kapur and Kirat Bhattal: The witty and charming sports anchor tied the knot in Chandigarh with his long time girlfriend, who also happens to be a model. She currently does films down south.
Aishwarya Sakhuja and Rohit Nag: The couple first met when Aishwarya was auditioning for a show Hello Kaun? Pehchaan Kaun. It was not love at first sight for them, but when conversations turned in to love, even they don’t know. The couple tied the knot early this December.
