Farah Khan’s big budget film which released on October 24 is till going steady at the ticket windows. In fact, Happy New Year starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah is one of biggest grossers of 2014. The musical extravaganza has fared equally well overseas too. And it won’t be long before HNY surpasses the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office. After becoming the fastest film to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club, the total domestic collection of Farah’s directorial venture now stands at Rs 186 crore (approximately).

On Monday (day 11) SRK and Deepika starrer minted around Rs 4.5 crore and on Tuesday (day 12) the film collected approximately Rs 3.2 crore thus bringing its domestic box office total to Rs 186 crore.

While HNY has continued to do good business, things can get tougher in the coming days. We say so because Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon starrer The Shaukeens is releasing this Friday. So it could very well affect the box office collection of Happy New Year.
