Will Jackie Shroff agree to be in the Hero remake?

Contrary to recent reports suggesting that Jackie Shroff has been signed up for a cameo in director Nikhil Advani’s Hero remake, the veteran actor admits to have been approached by the makers but he has not confirmed the deal, yet. Jackie, who’s riding high on the success of Happy New Year, says, “I’ve been approached to do something in their film. We are in talks but I haven’t signed anything yet. Hero is very special to me. I’ll do it if the role is interesting. Let’s see how it works out.”

Co-produced by Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai, the remake of the 1983 musical hit which sky rocketed Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri to overnight fame will star Aditya Pancholi’s son Suraj and Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya.

Ever since the makers announced the Hero remake, it’s been billed as one of the most anticipated films of 2015. If Jackie says ‘Yes’ it will definitely add that much-needed weight to the new Hero.
