Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s sensational kiss in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania comes under Censor Board’s scanner

Considering the new government’s traditional approach, the Central Board of Film Certication (CBFC) is watching out for excessive skin show and intimate scenes in movies

If the recent reports are anything to go by then, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania to delete the smooch sequence between the lead pair, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Yes, you read that right! And apparently, Karan Johar, who is producing the film is quite upset with the board’s decision.

Apparently, KJo’s team even questioned the board’s suggestion saying that in the recent past, several films featuring smooching scenes including his latest film, 2 States attracted no such instructions, then why such instructions for HSKD ? But reportedly, the board was not okay with the close up shots of the kissing scene and therefore they have allowed a long shot.

Is this because of the new government’s (which will be led by Narendra Modi) traditional outlook? We wonder…

Anyway, do you think it’s right for the CBFC to crack down on kissing scenes and excessive skin show from the films? Tell us, BollywoodLifers!
