Mani Ratnam’s upcoming bilingual venture though not yet commenced the shoot, has already created quite a lot of buzz. After Aishwarya Rai, Shruti Hassan too has been signed up for the movie. For the third heroine, according a source close to the happenings revealed that Sonakshi Sinha had been approached by the filmmakers, but the actress has refused the offer!
Ratnam met Shatrughan Sinha, who is a friend of the director, and outlined the role he had in mind for his daughter, before discussing it with Sonakshi. “She loved the role and it was really tough for her to let go of the offer. But she had prior commitments and didn’t have the required dates. But she will definitely work with Mani Sir in the future.”
Sonakshi Sinha had not so long back declined one more role. She turned down Subhash Ghai’s offer to play Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur in his film on the Indian national who spent 22 years in a Pakistani prison for charges that were never proved, before breathing his last in 2013.
Sonakshi is presently busy shooting Action Jackson with Ajay Devgn and Tevar with Arjun Kapoor. Her upcoming action flick with Akshay Kumar is releasing on June 6!
