Bollywood takes pride in the eternal beauty Madhubala. Madhubala is much more respected and adored for her talent. She was everything one could ever ask for. Her beauty is outstanding and her charm mesmerizing. One only needs to hear of the word Madhubala to think of grace, beauty and elegance.
She began her acting career as a child in the film Basant in the year 1942 which turned out to be a major hit. Her first lead role was in the film Neel Kamal starring Raj Kapoor. She was born Mumtaz but later changer her name to Madhubala, by which she is known till date. Madhubala’s only reason to take up acting and continue it was because she was the sole bread winner of her family.
She has good number of films to her credit and she effortlessly reached the top position in this industry. She acted in films like Tarana, Saiyan, Mr. & Mrs.’55, Howrah Bridge, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi etc. Her last film was Jwala in which she starred opposite Sunil Dutt.
The biggest hit film of her career was Mughal-e-Azam. She reached the list of the top-notch actresses of that era. She is still remembered for her role in that classic film.
Madhubala was known to be a woman for whom love was always the first priority. To her, love didn’t mean just getting care and admiration of a man but it meant selfless giving. She was known to be a compassionate lady and her smile never failed to disappoint the paparazzi.
She, however, failed to find true love all through her life. Despite being linked to and being in a relationship with biggies of the industry like Dilip Kumar and Kishore Kumar. She failed love life was open for all to see.
Madhubala died at a very tender age. At the age of 36, Madhu breathed her last and brought the entire nation to mourn at this loss. The industry lost a very precious gem and the vacuum is still felt even today.
