Being the queen of Bollywood was destined and it was a matter of time before she could wear the crown. The beauty about Sridevi was that she was not just a glam doll or an arm candy, she as an artist before she was a star. She did justice to her art quotient by acting in sensitive films like Sagma. Her Southern spice did wonders for her in Bollywood. She was being called the next Rekha. She charged as much as her male counterparts did and she commanded that respect too. There were films being made keeping Sridevi in mind. Nagina and Chandini took her career graph to heights that no female co-star of hers had ever imagined. She was a dream for her male actors and a nightmare for her female counterparts. She sent sock waves when she married Boney Kapoor only to face the ire of his first wife Boney Kapoor. Post marriage, Sridevi took a sabastical and has given up everything for motherhood. She made a comeback in 2012 with English Vinglish which was a huge hit. We hope to see more and dance even more often.
