Is Kapil Sharma all set for his Bollywood debut?

We hear that the funnyman host of Comedy Nights with Kapil will soon be making his Bollywood debut with his friend and TV director Rajiv Dhingra’s film

After having entertained us with his spot-on comic timing on the small screen in his popular show, Comedy Nights With Kapil (CNWK), we hear that stand-up comic and producer Kapil Sharma is all set to make his Bollywood debut. Yes, you heard us right! Kapil and TV director Rajiv Dhingra (who has directed shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 4, and a few seasons of Comedy Circus, among others) are in the process of making their acting and directorial debuts respectively, with a comedy film.

Wait, there is more. Rajiv and Kapil, who are very good friends, have reportedly approached Nawazuddin Siddiqui to play a major role in the film. Without divulging the title of the new movie, Rajiv told a leading daily, “The film depicts the story of three friends. It is a comic film with a social message and will be informative as well.” While Nawazuddin is said to be on the wishlist for one of the three leads, Sharma and his co-actor from Comedy Nights with Kapil, Sunil Grover aka Gutthi have been signed to play the other roles.

But as we all know, Sunil has apparently bid adieu to CNWK, reportedly due to a ego clash between him and Kapil, apart from a request for a higher fee, which makes us wonder if they both will agree to do a film together or no. Well, only time will tell. And, of course, we will too!
