Gori Tere Pyaar Mein: When Imran and Kareena were stuck for over 12hrs!

Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, before shooting for the song ‘Naina’ for Karan Johar’s ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’, the duo had to be content with just and hour’s sleep before the shoot. Both the actors were confined in a car for over 12 hours as they were stuck in landslide en route to Wai from Mumbai.

When they reached Wai, both the actors had to travel for more three hours to the location for just one antara of the song that was being shot there. “When the two reached the location, Imran joked, ‘Punit, run for your life. Kareena is coming with an axe to kill you!’” says the film’s director Punit Malhotra, adding that Bebo had to wear a heavy Indian outfit for the shoot, after which she had to return to Mumbai.

However, despite all the hurdels faced by both the actors, the duo were energetic. “Kareena had a lot of black coffee and I had to bribe Imran with good Parsi food,” recalls the director. He does admit the shoot was gruelling for them. “I had to make them go across a huge rock and stand on the edge of a cliff for a shot. The good thing is that the shoot went off very well. The weather was also lovely as it was the monsoon season,” he says.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, produced by Dharma Productions, releases November 22.
