‘Bullett Raja’, the directorial venture of Tigmanshu Dhulia which stars Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha talks about the nexus between the politicians, industrialists and the police in UP. The movie has been shot extensivley in real locations which also includes the historic Hazratganj in Lucknow. And the most difficult part for Saif Ali Khan was to shoot some of the action sequences on the busy streets of this densely populated area.
The crew of the movie had to make special arrangements for the sequence that features Saif chasing down a person on the main road. According to the sources, the actor was so excited about shooting scenes that he himself took it up to do all the action scenes – Jumping over cars, sneaking through traffic snarls etc – all the while ensuring a fast chase. And with all this action going on, the crowd was bound to go mad and with nearly 500 guards and cops having a tough time managing the crowd, Saif stepped out of the shoot to request them to calm down.
Says producer Rahul Mittra, “Hazratganj is one of the nerve centres of the city. People were very eager to see Saif. It’s only because of the support of local authorities that we could manage to shoot smoothly and in time.”
‘Bullett Raja’, presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Moving Pictures and BrandSmith Motion Pictures, releases November 29.
