When Ekta Kapoor lost Bebo to Duggu…

There was a lot of media buzz over the Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor film starring Emraan Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor. The movie was titled Badtameez Dil and was expected to go on floors this month.

A leading daily reported that Emraan Hashmi has re-allocated his dates to Kunal Deshmukh’s film Shaatir and now Kareena Kapoor has done something similar.

A source said the makers of Badtameez Dil have told Kareena to re-allocate the dates and she did, to the Karan Malhotra’s film Shuddi.

Shuddi, which is slated to go on floors in December, also stars Hrithik Roshan.

“Kareena was preparing for the shoot but the film has been put on the backburner for unknown reasons. Neither Emraan nor Kareena have a clear idea about the delay, so they have moved on to other projects,” said the source.

“The thing is that the script still needs a lot of work and it made no sense to start the project till everything was finalised. As of now, there is no fixed shooting schedule as the logistics will be worked out when the script is ready,” added the source.

Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, said that the film will release next year as planned. “These rumours are totally unfounded. The script is awaiting completion, which is why we are marginally postponed. We will still release next year,” he said.
