Ram-Leela item song first look: Will Priyanka Chopra steal Deepika Padukone’s thunder?

B-town’s favourite item queen recently shot for the much talked about title song Ram chahe leela of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s costume drama – and this item number promises to be high on sensuality…we like!

Priyanka Chopra seems to have a passion for item songs – she has grabbed every opportunity presented to her to showcase her dancing skills on the bada parda, the movie script itself be damned! Considering the two numbers that Priyanka has shot this year Pinky (Zanjeer) and Babli badmaash hai (Shootout At Wadala) – it could be her current favourite assignment! The ‘item girl’ looks resplendently gorgeous in the first look of the special song Ram chahe Leela from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela . The desi girl looks surprisingly different, fresh and very sexy, all decked up in an exotically desi look, a happy change from her jarring outfits and funny dance moves in Pinky and Babli!

The title song of the Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer was shot last week, choreographed by Prabhu Deva’s brother Vishnudeva. The leggy lass looks quite the seductress in a white choli and flower-printed dhoti-lehenga, displaying her oomph and those gorgeously long legs in the first look of the song. Pri’s gold-plated payals are also awesome and that new tattoo under her bosom adds an unique tadka - we spotted that line of script when she walked the ramp for Bisou Bisou at Lakme India Fashion Week, but could not tell what it said. Since Ms Chopra has come up with a ‘picture-perfect’ pose on the dance floor, it seems like we will see another SLB ishtyle Dola re dola in Ram-Leela!

This sure reminds us of how Katrina Kaif stole all the limelight from Kareena Kapoor by doing an item number – the title track of Bodyguard – with Salman Khan. And Kat did it again with Chikni Chameli in Agneepath, where PC was the female lead, remember? Though Deepika is looking her career best in RL, we wouldn’t be at all surprised if PC stole Dippy’s thunder by wiggling her bits for this one song. What do you think, peeps?
