Last week we saw the release of Phata Poster Nikla Hero, which had already raked in Rs 21.50 crore in its very first week. The movie has now seen a considerable amount of drop in its business at the Box Office in the second week. The film which stars Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz has now slipped to third position in the domestic collection chart, while on the other hand, Grand Masti and The Lunchbox graces the firs and second place respectively and are doing good at the BO. Many small budget movies like Warning, Supermodel, Maazi and Pargue hit the screens this weekend and bombed at the Box-Office. They did not affect the business of Phata Poster Nikla Hero. But when compared to its first day collections, PPNH has witnessed a solid 80% dip in the domestic market on its second Friday. Such contrasting performance stunned many in the B-Town.
Phata Poster Nikla Hero showed a positive trend on Saturday and Sunday, but its performance was still not upto the mark. PPNH has collected approximately Rs 5 crores at the Box-Office in the second weekend. PPNH’s 10-day domestic total stands at Rs 36.50 crores nett. The break up is as follows, Rs 1.25 cr on Fri, Rs 1.75 cr on Sat and Rs 2 cr on Sun. If the movie continues to run at the pace, we wonder if it’ll even manage to even garner 40 crores by the end of second week.
