Bollywood’s Most Magical On-Screen Jodis

Can we ever forget the sizzling chemistry shared by SRK-Kajol in DDLJ or the magical bond between Salman-Aishwarya in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or even the perfect comic timing between Govinda-Karisma? The answer is no. These iconic jodis have ruled the hearts of their fans for ages and no one will ever be able to replace them.

So we wonder what would happen when these couples decide to spread their magical spell once again. The constant raving about SRK-Kajol’s comeback in Dilwale is making us dig out more iconic jodis from the past, whom we would love to see on screen once again. Let’s take a look at some of these pairs.

Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha

Amitabh Rekha

The one time real life couple, Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha created magic through their sensational chemistry on screen. But after their fallout, their Silsila of films just came to an end. It’s been years that we didn’t get to see the couple on screen together. In fact, we didn’t even get to see the onetime lovebirds even in a picture since their last film Silsila. There were rumors that the couple might reunite for film Shamitabh but rumors were just the rumors.

Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai

salman-aishwarya

We agree, it’s being high on expectation but we would really like to see Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai (now Bachchan) sharing the same screen once again. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was a massive hit purely because of Salman – Aishwarya’s on screen endearment and no matter how hard the younger lot of Bollywood tries to create the same magic, it’s downright impossible.

John Abraham-Bipasha Basu

John- Bipasha

One of the most talked about couples in Bollywood, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu might have moved on in their real life but their chemistry will never fade off. After their bitter break up, John and Bipasha refrained from sharing screens but their fans won’t mind watching them together in more Race, No Smoking or Jism sequels, right? However, after Bipasha’s famous question ‘Kaun John’ (who John?) on Comedy Nights with Kapil, John and Bipasha’s on screen patch up seems to be a distant dream.

Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla

Aamir Juhi

From Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to Love, Love, Love to Ishq, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla’s jodi was a super duper hit, we know that! Innocence played the trick and the two soon became the best on screen couple of the town. Unfortunately, Aamir – Juhi era came to an end soon. Aamir is now doing exceptionally well in his acting career whereas Juhi has donned many hats of being a wife, mother, actor and an entrepreneur. But like SRK-Kajol’s DDLJ revival in form of Dilwale, revival of Aamir-Juhi’s QSQT is must!

Salman Khan-Madhuri Dixit

Salman-Madhuri

Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit took romance to another level with their enthralling chemistry in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Salman and Madhuri featured only in four films together but they became one of the most successful on screen couples of B-town. Their last film Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam released in 2002 and since then there fans are eagerly waiting to see them sizzle on screen again.

Govinda-Karisma Kapoor

Govinda-karishma

Karishma Kapoor was probably the only one who could match up to Govinda’s energy and result: super hits like Raja Babu, Coolie No 1, Hero No 1 and more. Their comic timing, style of romance and high on energy acting fascinated all. This beloved on screen pair was a delight to watch and if given a chance we would love to see them reuniting again. With her contemporaries making a comeback, it’s high time for Karishma to make a comeback too. And if revival is on her cards then why not it be a revival of Raja Babu and Madhu? (Fingers crossed)
