The only memory of Byomkesh Bakshi that the audience today has is of Rajit Kapoor solving mysteries in Doordarshan serial Byomkesh Bakshi until now. For Bengalis, he is all about Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s creation of a sleuth who is unlike any detective.He doesn’t hunt murderers…he unearths truth! Guess that made Dibakar issue a warning that if they are going to watch the film with the novels in mind, they might not be pleased.
