3 reasons why Sidharth Malhotra is one of the most sought after actors in B-town!

Though Karan Johar’s protege is just three films old, the actor has already made his presence felt

Sidharth Malhotra started his Bollywood career with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year along with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Post this, Sid was seen opposite Parineeti Chopra in Hasee Toh Phasee as the boy next door. For Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain, Malhotra underwent a transformation and his role had shades of grey. With just three releases so far, the actor has surely made a mark in the industry. Read on to find out why we say so…

Good looks

Sidharth is one of the most good looking ones in the newer lot in comparison to Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput and has a massive fan following. Fans loved his chocolate boy looks in SOTY and HTP as well as his angry young man avatar in Ek Villain. Though Sid isn’t as active on social media as Varun, he has over 1.69 million followers on Twitter whereas Varun has 1.38 million followers. The actor made his Instagram debut last week and in such a short span, he has about 32k followers.

Limited exposure

Though the actor is a little shy when it comes to the media, it is helping him for all the right reasons. Due to this, there is a mystery around him which makes him more desirable than his contemporaries. In current times where most B-townies have an aggressive PR machinery, Sid’s team isn’t an overenthusiastic one. And, well, this is actually working in his favour, as everyone wants to know what he is up to. The actor is very choosy when it comes to signing brand endorsements. He is currently seen in two commercials – in one he his endorsing a clothing brand with Kriti Sanon and in the other one he is the face of a popular cola brand along with Alia.

Breaking stereotypes

For the longest time, Sidharth came across as the romantic hero, but he broke this mould with Shraddha Kapoor starrer Ek Villain. The actor will now be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in Karan Malhotra’s Brothers which is an official remake of Warriors. We like the kind of movies KJo’s student is picking up, he knows his shortcomings and is making his choices accordingly. Post Brothers, he will start work on Shakun Batra’s Kapoor and Sons which also stars Fawad Khan, Alia and Rishi Kapoor in key roles. Sidharth has also beaten Hrithik Roshan and bagged a role in Nitya Mehra’s directorial debut opposite Kartina Kaif.
