Vidya Balan wants to do a Tamil film!

The Bobby Jasoos star was supposed to make her debut with a Tamil film

The Kahaani actress came to Chennai for an event and made time to meet the media. Though Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is extremely fluent in Tamil she has never done a Tamil film in her career.

It’s well-known that Vidya was supposed to start her film career in Tamil since she has been signed on and had started shooting for her film as well. However, the director at that point thought she didn’t make the cut and had her replaced. The rest as they say is history.

When asked if she’ll do a Tamil film now, Vidya said that it has always been her dream to do a Tamil film but she hasn’t got the right script. Since 2008, the actress has also reduced her film commitments sticking to one film a year. The actress is proud of the fact that Tamil is her mother tongue, as is Malayalam.

Wonder which Kollywood director will give her the script that will make her step into Tamil films. Our bet is definitely Gautham Menon!
