The song features Kamal Haasan in a never before seen avatar
Fans of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan are eagerly counting days and marking their calendars, as it is only few weeks for Uttama Villain to finally see the light. The film helmed by Ramesh Arvind boasts a star cast full of veterans including Kamal Haasan, K Balachander, K Viswanath, Urvasi, Jayaram, MS Bhaskar, Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jermiah. The music by Ghibran is picking at the right moment, as the buzz around the film is slowly gaining steam.
After unveiling the first song promo, Kadhalaam Kadavalum , the makers have revealed the second song, Iraniyan Naadagam. I took a sneak peak into the song and here ‘s what I thought of it:
The song opens with Kamal Haasan chanting lines in a hoarse but captivating voice as the song takes you to corridors of theatres. In fact, Iraniyan Naadagam is not just a song. As the name suggests, the song features a Theyyam play centered around Kamal Haasan. We see Pooja Kumar wearing heavy make up performing along with Kamal Haasan at the stage. Mr Haasan mesmerises with his superb make up, captivating performance and powerful voice. Special mention to the make-up artists who have pulled off the Theyyam make up efficiently. The music by Ghibran is apt and it lets dialogues take the centre stage.
