Lovebirds Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt along with Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan have reportedly been signed on to star in the Ram Lakhan remake. Alia will be reprising Madhuri Dixit’s role. Sidharth is most likely going to play Ram while Fawad would be seen playing Lakhan in the remake.
Rumours about filmmakers Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty locking Sid, Alia and Fawad’s names for the Subhash Ghai film’s remake started doing rounds today. The original film featured Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Dimple Kapadia in the lead roles.
Fawad Khan is on a roll as this might be the second big project he has bagged after the cameo in KJo’s Aye Dil Hai Mushkil! We think he will make a great team with Alia and Sid in the Ram Lakhan remake.
If the rumours are true, this will be the second film which will see the three sharing screen space. We had earlier reported that Alia and Sidharth have agreed to play brother and sister in Shakun Batra’s Kapoor and Sons. Incidentally the film also stars Fawad Khan as Sid and Alia’s sibling and Rishi Kapoor as their grandfather.
It’s clear that the Student of the Year couple and the Khoobsurat actor are out to surprise their fans with their acting choices and let’s just say that we are on the edge of our seats waiting to see the outcome!
