Shoot of Bajrangi Bhaijaan postponed due to Kashmir floods

After the completion of seventy percent of the shoot, the team of Bajrangi Bhaijaan decided to shift the location to Kashmir where they were supposed to wrap up the film by shooting the remaining scenes in a span of 40 days. However, a calamity situation seems to have caused trouble for the locals and also the cast, crew of the Kabir Khan directorial.



After last year, Kashmir has faced yet another flood situation, wherein the Jhelum River has crossed the mark due to continuous rains which has affected areas like Srinagar. The police have started rescue operations and have alerted people living around the area to re-locate. On the other hand, Bajrangi Bhaijaan's cast and crew who were supposed to start shooting since April 9, have put the film on hold and are trying to gauge the situation in order to receive a clarification on how to proceed further with the remaining shoot. The crew was supposed to shoot some high octane stunts, war sequences and even a song picturised amidst the beautiful valley, which has now faced a delay until the situation in Kashmir comes under control.



Bajrangi Bhaijaan stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead and is said to be the story of Bajrangi (Salman) and his relationship with a Pakistani girl who mistakenly crosses the Indo-Pak border and finds herself alone on the other side of the line. Produced by Salman Khan and Eros International, the film is slated to release on July 16, 2015.
