Yes, we know that we’re breaking millions of hearts out there by talking about this but according to a leading daily, Shahid Kapoor is now officially engaged. Rumours of Shahid secretly dating a Delhi-based girl had been making the rounds for quite some time now. Looks like they were all true because on January 14, he apparently put a ring on Mira Rajput’s finger.
Shahid seems to be going the Matt Damon way by marrying a girl who is not from the film fraternity or a model. Here’s what we know about Mira – she’s a third-year English (Hons.) student at LSR and has been a Delhi girl all her life. How did the couple meet? If reports are to be believed, the first meeting happened at a Radha Soami Satsang Beas group’s religious gathering.
So, now that the duo is supposedly engaged, the next step is obviously marriage. If rumours are to be believed, we don’t have to wait all that much because a December wedding is on the cards.
After a stint of bad relationships, Shahid had once asserted that he wouldn’t want to marry someone from the film industry. He stood by that it seems.
While we’re kinda miffed at Shahid for keeping it all such a secret, we wish him all the best – and hope that the wedding isn’t a secret affair.
