Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan: Who will win the box office battle in 2016?

Though these two superstars won’t be locking horns this year, in 2016 the two are likely to clash at the BO. So when they do, who will race ahead in the numbers game? Vote and tell us…

Shah Rukh Khan has two releases this year and does Salman Khan. However, none of their films are releasing together in 2015. While King Khan’s Fan is expected to come out on Bakri Eid that is on September 23, his other film Dilwale co-starring Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is slated to hit the screens during Christmas this year. As for Bhai, well, his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan co- starring Kareena Kapoor Khan will release in July during Eid and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Sonam Kapoor will hit the theatres during Diwali. Yes, these two Khans have booked festive occasions to release all their films this year and the case is going to be same next year too. However, for 2016, SRK and Salman are eyeing the same occasion.

Shah Rukh’s Raees with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan will clash at the box office with Salman and Deepika Padukone’s first outing together Sultan. We we say so because the makers of both the films are looking at Eid to release their highly anticipated projects. In that case, expect some heavy fireworks at the box office because we are talking about two superstars taking on each other at the BO. And it doesn’t get any bigger when its SRK and Dabangg Khan, right?

For sure, it would be interesting to see these two battling it out at the ticket windows. But whenever two big films have clashed at the box office, they have ended up eating into each other’s business. However, when King Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan released alongside Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar, both the films did well and raked in good moolah. So there is chance that both Raees and Sultan may fare well at the box office. Well, we are keeping our fingers crossed we love the Khans.

But Bollywoodlifers you vote and tell us – which Khan will win the box office war in 2016: Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan?
