The seventh season of the popular dance reality show, Nach Baliye is around the corner. While the names of the participants are still kept under the wraps, filmmaker Anurag Basu is said to be one of the judges this season. And just when we thought he was the only surprise coming up, here comes an even bigger shock! Priyanka Chopra might step in as the second judge, replacing Shilpa Shetty in the panel. Yes. The actress, who is currently in LA working out on her International venture, was recently approached for this plum deal.
Speaking of which, a source confirmed to a leading daily and said, “The makers have approached Priyanka to step into Shilpa’s shoes as the judge. However, owing to her International commitments, the deal with PeeCee hasn’t come through yet. She asked them how many days they will require and is trying to fit the show into her packed diary. As it requires her to be on the set just one day in a week.”
Shilpa has been the face of the dance reality show for three consecutive seasons. However, the makers don’t wish to continue with Raj Kundra’s wifey any more. Reason? Well, there is no such clearance on that but the source added to assure, “It would be a casting coup if they can get Anurag Basu and Priyanka to judge the show together. Modalities are being worked out and an announcement is imminent.”
Now that’s BIG news. But only if Priyanka manages to tweak her dates for Nach Baliye. Considering her contract with ABC studio, we doubt if this would happen! Watch out this space for more updates on Nach Baliye 7!
