Maharana Pratap aka Ssharad Malhotra: I love the aggressiveness and passion for sports that Virat Kohli displays

India has set the moment and television stars are taking time from their busy schedules just to catch one over of the match

We got in touch with Ssharad Malhotra aka Maharana Pratap to find out his plans for the world cup 2015 series. Now that India is on a winning streak (touch wood) we are sure everyone is trying hard to not miss even a single match. “I wake up early for the matches before I leave for shoot. I’ve also managed to get a TV connection on the sets of my show. Cricket is like a religion,” replied Ssharad.

We’ve won three matches; the prospect of winning the series looks brighter and brighter, right? “India surely has great chances of repeating last time victory. It’s just a matter of luck and persistent effort to win. I am sure it is a possibility, said the actor. The last season’s win is etched in everyone’s mind. It’s a once in a lifetime moment. Ssharad reminisced the big win and said, “I remember watching the last world cup finals with my mom. We also did the victory dance with beating drums on the streets of Mumbai. It was a night I can never forget.” Neither can we!

For the longest time Sachin Tendulkar has been everyone’s favourite player, and it’s the same with Ssharad. “Sachin Tendulkar was my all time favourite till he retired. Now it is Virat Kohli. I love the aggressiveness and the passion for sports which he displays on the field.”

The first memorable match of the series was India vs Pakistan. Even a non-cricket fan will sit to watch this one. “It is the mother of all matches and is definitely counted to be a clash of the titans grabbing maximum eyeballs all across the globe. I am already anticipating a nail biting match with some great cricketing moments again soon. India-Pakistan matches are a delight to watch,” concluded Ssharad.
