The new &TV show is going on air tonight at 9pm – it will indeed be something interesting to watch, no?
Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls is a light-hearted show set in Delhi, which will talk about the modern society’s perception on women and the daily hum-drum of life. While the time slot of 9 pm is rather competitive, here are five reasons why you should watch this daily soap…
#The show is loosely based on the popular book Those Pricey Thakur Girls written by Anuja Chauhan. Like you already know the book has received rave reviews by critics and readers alike. Of course, there are a few who’ve trashed it too. The show will focus on the social and political issues of the country but keep it light hearted.
#After doing Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Sukirti Kandpal has done several other things on TV, but this is by far the best role the actress has taken up. It would be interesting to see her play a newsreader.
#Aamir Ali finally shifts away from slapstick comedy to something meatier. It would be interesting to watch Aamir and Sukirti’s chemistry.
#The show will depict five different leads with varied characters and outlooks. Watching conflict, debate and the solution to any issue without making it a melodrama – would be interesting and time well spent!
#Anang Desai and Supriya Pilgaonkar have been known to be part of great concepts and interesting shows barring a few here and there. The entire combination is a result of some great casting and thought, don’t you agree?
We are definitely kicked about watching Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls tonight on &TV aren’t you? Stay tuned to this space as we’ll soon be back with the first review of the show.
