Why we like Kumkum Bhagya’s Pragya aka Sriti Jha in the non desi avatar – view pics!

The actress is very different from her onscreen characters – clearly shows what a brilliant actress she is

Sriti Jha has often played this damsel in distress in most of her shows – be it Saubhagyavati Bhava or Balika Vadhu or Kumkum Bhagya .

There is no doubt that the actress does a splendid job and is rather convincing as this meek, docile and dainty character who is scared of everything. She portrays this character of being an ideal woman, complete sanskari, desi, down to earth, damsel in distress kinda character to perfection.

However, the apple of truth seems to fall very far from the truth. In reality or at least from what we’ve seen, Sriti is a compete rockstar. She is most comfortable in a t-shirt and a pair of pants. This Bong beauty loves taking photographs and gladly accepts that she’s still an amateur photographer. If you don’t know she is a huge huge Johnny Depp fan. Most of her candid pictures showcase her in the most bindass and cool avatar.

We love this casual look of Sriti ‘coz it’s not predictable, there’s a certain character to it and it’s very different from her onscreen avatars. Frankly, I think she should consider playing a character that is very close to her real life. Something not so desi, what do you think?
