Temper box office collection: Jr NTR’s cop flick mints Rs 29.18 crore in three days!

Puri Jagannadh gives Jr NTR his biggest opening till date

It is no doubt that Jr NTR is a force to reckon with in Telugu cinema. His collaboration with ace director Puri Jagannadh had got the fans excited and many were eagerly awaiting for Temper to see the light. But when the release date was announced as February 13, many experts believed that it was a gamble by makers of Temper to release the film at the start of Cricket World Cup, especially when the historic India vs Pakistan match was scheduled on Februry 15.

But the film has managed to set the cash registers ringing, giving Jr NTR his biggest opening till date. The cop flick raked Rs 29.18 crore in three days. The Jr NTR-Kajal Aggarwal starrer opened to overwhelming response minting Rs 14.68 crore at the box office on Friday. Despite positive reviews, the box office collection of Temper saw a dip as the film made Rs 6.5 crore on day two. Surprisingly, the business of the film picked up on Sunday, as Temper made Rs 8 crore at the box office, despite the frenzy surrounding the India vs Pakistan match.

With Dhanush’s Anekudu releasing next week, it would be interesting to see if Jr NTR’s Temper manages to sail steady at box office in coming days. Till now, I have to say that Temper is off to a great start at the box office.
