Yesterday’s India vs Pakistan match at the World Cup 2015 was indeed one historical game. India won with a remarkable lead of 76 runs. And if that wasn’t enough, Amitabh Bachchan made this win even more memorable with his first time commentary…
Sr Bachchan joined to the likes of Kapil Dev, Arun Lal, Rahul Dravid, Shoaib Akhtar and Ashish Chopra at the commentator box. And I think he was pretty good at his first attempt. Not only did his baritone stand out like it always does, but he also made his cricket IQ evident by debating on the intricacies of the game. Run rate, bowler’s reaction, what’s working, what’s not working for India- the Shamitabh actor was all out like a pro commentator during the match.
However surprisingly, not all agree on this. Twitter has been trending on Big B jokes, ever since his commentary and that has left me wondering. Was Sr Bachchan’s commentary that funny? Or was it impressive?
