The new chief of Censor Board is kicking up a storm yet again!
Pahlaj Nihlani’s latest target is none other than Kareena Kapoor Khan’s mother-in-law, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. The man who recently passed a obnoxious list of words that should be banned in Bollywood films is now questioning Saif Ali Khan‘s mother for clearing his film Omkara.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello, Omkara is one of Saif’s career highlights. And Nihlani is appalled that his predecessor cleared a movie that had abundant usage of cuss words. Is the new chief accusing Ms Tagore of playing favouritism? Is he hinting that Omkara got a go-ahead because it was her son’s film?
Well, for those of you who do no know our new Censor head has to his credit some films that do not exactly adhere to the new norms set by the board. (Read: 5 videos that prove Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani is a HYPOCRITE who needs to STFU- watch! ) Looks like Mr Nihlani needs to look up his own backyard before pointing fingers at others.
As for Omkara, it certainly is a movie that deserved to be released for the story telling, acting and music. BollywoodLifers, do you agree with us? Or like Pankaj Nihlani you too think that this movie should NOT have released?
