Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s much anticipated film Badlapur saw its release this Friday. And the Sriram Raghavan directorial has managed to get a roaring response from the film critics as well as the audiences. After raking in Rs 7.20 crore on Day 1, the film picked up on Day 2 by recording a sum of Rs 8.75 crore. The box office collection of the revenge drama now stands at a total of 15.75 crores (early estimates) at the domestic box office.
Badlapur has been ranked as the second biggest opener of 2015. But now it is to be seen how the movie fares today because of the India – South Africa World Cup match. This will definitely affect the occupancy at the theatres. Nevertheless, there are high chances of the film escalating a good growth through the evening and the late night shows.
