Will the real Ranbir Kapoor please stand up?

The Jagga Jasoos actor has made his social media debut on six networking platforms, but is it really him interacting with the fans?

Ranbir Kapoor has been one of the most guarded celebrities in Bollywood. The actor doesn’t like to put out too much information about his private life and that is one of the primary reasons why for so long he has kept away from any kind of social media contact. But much to his fans’ delight the Tamasha actor has now decided to join six different social networking platforms to interact with his fans. Only condition: he will be online for just six hours and only for today.

But for now he is online and all eyes are on the actor. Let’s take a look at his social media activity so far. RK is following two random people. The actor has tweeted “Check…1…2…3…check cash…Hi, that’s the warmest welcome I have ever woken up to! Thank you :) #RanbirHitsA6″ and Instagrammed a pic of himself being looked at through a coffee cup. The caption reads, “My First Shot. #coffee #RanbirHitsA6″

Another pic of the actor is captioned as, “#shoefie” A Vine video of him tweeting his first tweet is also uploaded. AND Ranbir has also clicked a selfie captioned as “The #halfie #RanbirHitsA6″

Before all you Ranbir fans go gaga over the actor on social media I would just want to pause and understand how Ranbir has suddenly become such a social media pro! How come despite him never having been on any of the social networking profiles, he is handling six types of social media profiles as if it is cakewalk? Doesn’t it seem a little unbelievable that the actor who has always maintained that he finds social media tricky suddenly become a natural at using the same?

I do find it a little suspicious because none of his industry friends are following or welcoming him on social media. RK is the brand ambassador of Lenovo and this is clearly a marketing/promotional strategy to launch the new phone/tablet/laptop probably something called a Lenovo A6. If Ranbir’s sudden interest in social media is simply a marketing gimmick to sell a new gadget then I’ll have to say that it is pretty appalling. Also being one of the many people eagerly waiting for RK to make his social media debut, I would be terribly disappointed if I find out that it isn’t Ranbir but a marketing team or people posting via the platforms in Mr Kapoor’s name!

Well, you tell me going by whatever Ranbir has posted so far, do you think it is him interacting with his fans? Or is it a team of people appointed to interact with his fans on his behalf? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below!
