At the recently held Star Guild Awards Deepika Padukone was called upon to give away the award for ‘Most Stylish Youth Icon’ and it was Alia Bhatt who walked away with the coveted trophy. While both Ms Bhatt and Dippy looked stunning on the stage, what caught our attention was how the two bonded in their own way on the podium. Not only Ms Padukone announced Alia’s name very sweetly, she even teased the Highway actress when she came on stage by not giving her the award so easily. Finally, when Mahesh Bhatt’s beti took the trophy and started giving her speech, DP went down on her knees and adjusted Alia’s gown as the young lass was finding it a bit tough to walk in the long dress. Yes, it was a candid moment and Dippy did steal our hearts with her gesture!
While actresses are often pitted against each other, it was refreshing to see two leading B-town ladies sharing a sweet moment at an awards night that too while one is on stage giving the award and other receiving it. Doesn’t happen too often, hai na?
