Tevar box office report: Sonakshi Sinha-Arjun Kapoor starrer off to a good start!

The film, which has been made on a budget of Rs 30 crore has taken a good start at the ticket windows

Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s much-awaited film, Tevar has finally hit the theatres today (January 9). The film, which is an out an out commercial one with a blend of action, drama and romance is the first big release of 2015.

So far, the advance booking and first day occupancy reports have been positive. An opening day collection of Rs 8 to 10 crore and a weekend collection of around Rs 30 crore looks quite possible at this point. So, 2015 should start with a bang.

The only competition that Tevar faces right now is from Aamir Khan’s three-week old PK, which has minted a total domestic collection of Rs 320.25 crore and Rs 153 crore overseas that adds up to a total worldwide collection of Rs 473.25 crore.
