Tevar box office collection: Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer mints approximately Rs 7 crore on day 1!

Sanjay Kapoor’s production venture which hit the screens on Friday has done average business at the box office so far…

Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s first film together Tevar hasn’t really got cash registers jingling. Though the film created great buzz, it didn’t witness a great opening at the ticket windows on Friday. Arjun starrer, which is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu, collected approximately Rs 7.05 crore on the day 1. While the first day collection of Tevar isn’t impressive, figures may go up over weekend. According to Boxofficeindia, “Tevar will be depending on Saturday growth as the first day will come in at around 7 crore nett. The film has managed average business in pockets like Rajasthan and CI but Delhi/UP and East Punjab are poor.”

While Saturday figures are still not out, early estimates suggests that the film has collected around Rs 7 crore on day 2 as well. “Tevar has failed to show much growth on Saturday as collections are likely to come in the same range as the opening day. The film really needed to show growth to have a chance at the box office. The film will be looking at a 13.50 crore nett total in two days and the weekend could go to around 22 crore nett which is not a good total as the film has taken for a big price especially for the face value it had,” further reported Boxofficeindia.
