After distributors alleged to have incurred heavy losses, Lingaa superstar is keen to work on next project soon to make up for the losses
In 2014, Rajinikanth had two releases – Kochadaiyaan and Lingaa – and both were plagued by distributor issues. The latest on Lingaa is that distributors are allegedly lining up to ask Eros for a refund as they paid heavily for buying the film and then incurred heavy losses.
The rumour doing the rounds now is that Rajinikanth is keen on doing another film this year to make up for the distributor losses – though he is not responsible for it. Apparently, he wants to make a film and is looking at several directors. One on this list is a top director who is known to take at least two to three years to complete the project. While the Superstar has good intentions, Kollywood is allegedly a little apprehensive about investing heavily in another Rajini project so soon after Lingaa. We’ll just have to wait and watch what happens.
Here’s hoping that the Superstar does make a film this year and it’s a blockbuster!
