Though it isn’t official yet but we hear that the Bajirao Mastani actress will be seen playing the lead in Prakash Jha’s sequel
Priyanka Chopra’s career is going places. With two highly anticipated film- Bajirao Mastani and Dil Dhadakne Do already in her kitty she also has a talent development deal with the ABC television studio which is one of the biggest studios in Hollywood. She is also venturing into production with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Madamji.
Now there are reports suggesting that the Mary Kom actress is being considered to play the lead role in Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal 2. The original starred Ajay Devgn and Gracy Singh as protagonists.
But Ajay isn’t the one playing the lead in Gangaajal 2. Instead it would be PC who would play the protagonist! A source close to the production said,“Prakash Jha is known for making socio-political films and for this one, he wanted a female protagonist, unlike in the original. Priyanka Chopra has a role similar to the one Ajay had in Gangaajal.”
PC’s spokesperson confirmed the news and said, “The paperwork is under process, so we can’t comment on it at the moment.”
Carrying the baton of women-centric films from 2014 to 2015, Priyanka will make one hell of a cop in Gangaajal 2! Don’t you agree?
