I went for the red carpet event of the award show last night and was quite amazed by all the stylish appearances!
Here is what I thought of all the fashion statements made…
Priyanka Chopra: The orange pop Toni Matiscevski gown teamed with a Mawi neck-piece is just the fashion statement I was waiting for at the red carpet! The exuberant colour, the sleek ponytail and the shiny Loubs added the zesty appeal which the red carpet lacked due to mostly formal gowns.
Deepika Padukone: The Bajirao Mastani actress has always been a safe dresser and the sequin-embellished number by Amit GT too was no daring attempt. Nevertheless the radiance of her face makes Deepika look gorgeous in every outfit she dons. I particularly adored the slick hairdo! The Mohan Notanndas jewels were a tad bit over the top.
Alia Bhatt: This is probably one of my favourite looks of the Shaandaar actress so far! Isn’t royal blue just the colour for Ms Bhatt? The lovely Prabal Gurung gown was punctuated with sleek middle parted hair, Isharya rings and black Louboutins. The gown transforms Alia from a cutesy girl-next-door to a uber glam diva!
Shraddha Kapoor: I have been drooling over the sequinned bodice of the Atsu Sekhose gown the ABCD 2 actress wore since last night! Some tone on tone layering could have worked to break the solid red hue but I am not complaining. The Gehna jewels were on-point, so was the elan!
Varun Dhawan: He can wear casual hoodies and denims all he ants but my heart skips a beat each time I see Varun walking the red carpet dressed in a sharp suit. The debonaire actor looked smashing in the grey suit, expensive shoes and that gelled hairdo. Yum!
Jacqueline Fernandez: The wedding gown-esque Gaurav Gupta number wasn’t the best outfit of the evening. I wish she wore a Gauri and Nainika gown instead. Another reason why Jacky’s look didn’t work for me was because of the hairdo, a bun would have been more in sync with the outfit.
Tiger Shroff: The debutante actor wore a velvet Manish Malhotra outfit to the awards ceremony. I wish he did away with that white pocket-square as it was sticking out like a sore thumb, quite literally!
Lisa Haydon: The Shaukeens actress wore a turquoise Gauri and Nainika gown was the stand-out number of the evening. The tangerine lip added character to the look and the model-turned-actress carried off the gown with flair. I wished that the hair was done up in a bun but barring that, Lisa looked like a million bucks!
