If Bollywood grapevine is to be believed then Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra are the new ‘It’ couple. The duo has been painting the town red with their multiple secret rendezvous at various city hotspots where they have been putting in joint appearances. Rumours of their alleged relationship started gaining momentum after they arrived in the same car at Ranbir Kapoor’s Christmas bash and apparently remained inseparable for the entire night.
That the two are dating became extremely evident when both took off to an undisclosed location in New York to ring in the New Year. Indian paparazzi clicked the duo on their return to India after their alleged merry making. Though they walked out of the airport separately, both made no effort to hide their glee.
Interestingly, one man who is seemingly happy for the duo is Alia and Sidharth’s Student of the Year co-star, Varun Dhawan. Varun who was rumoured to be dating Alia at one point said today that he is happy for all lovers in this world. When asked specifically about his happiness for Alia and Sidharth, Varun chose the diplomatic route. “I am happy for whoever is in love.”
Varun though of course in the know of things pretended to not know about the going-ons in his friends’ lives. “Are they in love? I don’t know. I was in Vegas,” answered a smart Varun.
It may well be remembered that in an episode of Koffee with Karan, Alia had mentioned Varun as a perfect boyfriend material and Sidharth as the perfect husband. The current situation indicates Alia has chosen the latter.
