Despite heavy promotions, Alone has failed to get the cash registers ringing!
Bipasha Basu’s erotic horror flick, Alone , which hit the theatres on Januaary 16 made a below average business on it’s first day. As per early estimates, this Bhushan Patel directorial has collected Rs 3.50 crore on day 1 at the domestic box office.
Films like Alone , which have a deadly combo of horror and sex usually do better business in mass circuits and single screens, but it’s quite surprising to see the poor first day collections of the film, which marks the Bollywood debut of TV heartthrob Karan Singh Grover. Nevertheless, even if the film picks up today (January 17) and tomorrow (January 18), Alone can still stand at a good opening weekend figure.
The other two films that released this week are Crazy Kukkad Family and Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene, which performed extremely poor in the range of 20-25 lakhs nett.
