Even before it went on floor, Udta Punjab has made headlines for its star cast. Grapevine was rife with rumours that the film will be reuniting the ex flames, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, once again post their break-up and the last successful release, Jab We Met. We even asked Shahid at an award show if he is doing Udta Punjab opposite Kareena and the Haider actor quipped, “I am doing Udta Punjab.” Then reports about Fawad Khan being cast in the film started doing rounds. And as of now the status as we know it is that Alia will star opposite Shahid while Bebo will be romancing Fawad Khan in the film.
Alia recently took to Twitter to announce that she has begun prepping for the film. The Shaandaar actress tweeted, “New day, new journey, #UdtaPunjab prepping big time. Very nervous and excited about this one.. Cmon cmon give me all ur lovely wishes!! 
We cannot wait for the Shandaar jodi to share screen space! What about you guys?
